Don’t Hide From Me Now

If you ever have gotten in to a desperate circumstance or dire situation, you may have had emotions rise up in you to speak these words to God. I know I have been there a few times. Belief in God and walking in faith is challenging when faced with some things we cannot solve ourself. It is quite ok to talk to God like He is a close friend, for He is there at all times as the best friend we could have.

He loves to be that tight with us. Funny how we want to make sure He is there at our beck and call, suppose He feels the same?

The Upper Room

Have you learned to be attentive to His voice when He calls out to you? The thing is, it is ok with Him that we rely and call out for Him anytime. He expects to be there for you, That is His character!

What a wonderful advocate, mighty warrior that comes running to us when we reach out for Him! Like the three that were thrown into the firey furnace, He not only gave them protection He walked in the fire with them. Not only kept them from being consumed, they’re clothes were not even charred or smelled of smoke. They would not bow to idol worship and were willing to face death if it was to be. It changed the emperors mindset and caused a change in the kingdom.

Run to the one who is always ready to give salvation and life. He stands ready to hear you beacon for His attention, for His attention is on you. Is your heart whispering “seek God “?

Psalms 27:6-9

6 God holds me head and shoulders

above all who try to pull me down.

I’m headed for his place to offer anthems

that will raise the roof!

Already I’m singing God- songs;

I’m making music to GOD.

7 Listen, GOD, I’m calling at the top of my lungs:”Be good to me! Answer me!”

8 When my heart whispered,”Seek God,”

my whole being replied,”I’m seeking him!”

9 Don’t hide from me now!

You’ve always been right there for me;

don’t turn your back on me now.

Don’t throw me out, don’t abandon me;

you’ve always kept the door open.

Are You Ready?

Jesus Christ Return

A thief does not come up to a house and knock on the door. Robbery is something that happens suddenly and at a time people do not expect it to occur. What about us in terms of Christ’s return? Should we not be ready? Do we not know the times and the seasons? Yes, we do. We have every reason to be able to be prepared should the “thief” arrive, that is, should Christ return.  ~John W. Ritenbaugh

1 Thessalonians 5:2

2for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.

We are close to the return of Jesus Christ; the world is filled with all kinds of signs of the end. They wear at us and worry us. We see them on television and hear them on the radio—everywhere we look, we see signs of the times. It is a stressful situation to be in, and still, Christ does not come. We say, “How long, Lord, will it be ’til You come?”

We can become neglectful. We can let our focus slip. We need to be exhorted and stirred.

Christ gives the first-century church a warning in Revelation 2:1-7, His message to the Ephesian church. He points out their problem. He gives them advice as to what they should do, and then at the end, He provides incentive for them to correct the situation that they had allowed themselves to deteriorate into.  ~John W. Ritenbaugh

Revelation 2:1-7

A Letter to the Church in Ephesus

1“To the messenger of the church in Ephesus, write:

The one who holds the seven stars in his right hand, the one who walks among the seven gold lamp stands, says: 2I know what you have done—how hard you have worked and how you have endured. I also know that you cannot tolerate wicked people. You have tested those who call themselves apostles but are not apostles. You have discovered that they are liars. 3You have endured, suffered trouble because of my name, and have not grown weary. 4However, I have this against you: The love you had at first is gone. 5Remember how far you have fallen. Return to me and change the way you think and act, and do what you did at first. I will come to you and take your lamp stand from its place if you don’t change. 6But you have this in your favor—you hate what the Nicolaitans are doing. I also hate what they’re doing.

7“Let the person who has ears listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. I will give the privilege of eating from the tree of life, which stands in the paradise of God, to everyone who wins the victory.

Healing Waters of God

Operating from the emotions of the flesh or from the natural can only last so long. Before you know it the energy drains out of your shoes and life becomes stagnate. Stagnate water quickly becomes a breeding ground for disease, infestations of biting problems, and foul odor. Lord, help us and prompt us by your Spirit to remember and hold on to you when we faint.

The Upper Room

Heal us Father from our wicked ways and selfish desires. Snatch us out from our worldly conformity and lead us into your current of healing waters where we depend on you for our substance. During these times of unsurity, may we be obedient to your voice and compassionate toward your people. You have thrown us a line every time we have waded in to deep water, where we were unsure. Father help us trust you when in your current of deep water, where no man can walk. Give us strength and healing for walking out our destiny!

Ezekiel 47:7-10 (New King James Version)

7 When I returned, there, along the bank of the river, were very many trees on one side and the other. 8 Then he said to me: “This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed. 9 And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes. 10 It shall be that fishermen will stand by it from En Gedi to En Eglaim; they will be places for spreading their nets. Their fish will be of the same kinds as the fish of the Great Sea, exceedingly many.

Christ Come

Christ Come

This time of year is truely a time of celebration. A time and a symbol of the gift of giving. During no other time of the year is there a time when most of humanity has acts and emotions of charity manifesting so great.

This is not a normal act or practice during every other day or month of the year. It is popular to be a giver for the season of December. At least from what we witness the rest of the year is hustle bustle, cutting in line, rude road rage, impatience, greedy, short tempered, blasting others for all the bad things happening to us!! Yuck!  If the Spirit of December could take place a little every month of the year, what a world this would be. Whether it is Christians or any other belief system, it seems like this phenomenon has become contagious, hasn’t it?

The Upper Room

You know, I think God snuck one in on man. He took the end of our year and let us think we made up a reason to celebrate giving of ourself. Our year of struggling, strife, getting ahead, fighting bills, debt, heartbreaks, circumstances, emotional rollercoasters, family situations, all of troubles we live through all year and makes LOVE be the focus!

To gain communion and relationship back with man, the way it was always meant to be, He gave what was most precious to Him, His Son Jesus! That is the biggest gift of all, and if you were the only one left out, He would have still done it for you!

He DID do it for you! The Giver gave you life in the form of His Son, to sacrifice that you may have life! That is the good news of the Gospel. No matter who you are or where you are, you are not far from God! The Giver of Life is the Lover of your soul. Open that door, and He will show you many corridors and journeys He has prepared for you!

Blessings in the days to come!

Jesus shows up and the message changes

John the baptist the forerunner with the message of repentance was a wild a crazy guy! He caught quite the attention of many, and was doing all what he was called for. Then Jesus showed up on the scene, got baptized also, then God spoke! “This is My Son of whom I am well pleased.”

Well, would it not be awsome to hear those words spoken over you by anyone, but how about by God? You know He will and wants to.

When Jesus came, He not only fulfilled many old prophesy’s, He came to fulfill the law and fulfill everything it was going to take to give you power and authority to fulfill all you were created for. The message He brought was the message of God’s Kingdom, manifesting the Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. He made it possible for you to walk by faith and in the power of the Holy Spirit, establish the Kingdom of God everywhere you go!

Dare we jump in that river to walk in faith and carry out our call? To do so, do you think our flesh nature might need to change?

Seeking the face of God for direction might take some time, commitment, discipline and motivation to learn and hear. Learning to hear is not an easy thing. Do you think Jesus came and used His deity and power to  get the word from His Father in a different way than is available to you or me? If He were to have cheated, He would have not conquered honesty and integrity, now would He?

That is why He demanded such high commitment from the ones He asked to walk with Him. To know Him, you must be with Him, intent on learning His heart, hearing His voice of compassion, feeling His movement. I am feeling the need for 180° for myself just writing this.

The message from God today demands relationship. Wow, that doesn’t sound so boring. Spending time with someone that wants you, sounds like a future and a hope to me. I think I’ll have a large portion!  Blessings

Mark 1:12-15 (The Message)

God’s Kingdom Is Here

12-13At once, this same Spirit pushed Jesus out into the wild. For forty wilderness days and nights he was tested by Satan. Wild animals were his companions, and angels took care of him.

14-15After John was arrested, Jesus went to Galilee preaching the Message of God: “Time’s up! God’s kingdom is here. Change your life and believe the Message.”

The Sacrifice of Praise

I am humbled when I go to the Word of God and let Him reveal the truth of the Gospel of the Kingdom. Jesus didn’t miss a beat from His Fathers heart. Even all the way through to His death He was obiedient, not to take advantage of His diety. Up until Jesus came and fullfilled the law and brought relationship back to man, sacrifices were made only by the priests. The animals were slaughtered outside the gates, then their blood was brought into the altar for atonement of the people for one more year.

Once Jesus came, He set the religious world and doctrine on it’s head and change took place and was made complete once and for all time. His body and flesh was beaten and crucified outside the gates of the city on a hill overlooking the city. His body laid to rest in a borrowed tomb. His blood flowed completly to the altar of God for sacrifice and complete propitiation of man, woman, and child. For all who would believe on Him as the Christ, so we would have life with Him.

Can there be anything that we could bring to the altar which could make up an adequate sacrifice for what we have done in our life, that would atone for our sins against God? Impossible by all our standards would be us trying to create a method or doctrine of a new religion making us good enough. As we would try to widen the path to God, believing false doctines and deceptions of, anyone and everyone is going to make it to God.

There can be no sacrifice that will take the place of what Jesus the Christ made for mankind!

We can sing great gospel hymns, scripture songs, while we gather in our churches, temples and gatherings. *Until we have revelation come alive inside us as to what the blood of Jesus Christ did for us, we are as a banging symbol, making noise to be heard and seen by man.

When the connection gets switched to the on position and comes to be alive in you, praise and worship comes into a whole different realm. Yes, we can choose to keep the flame unseen or dampened to low key, but how frustrating it is to know how close His touch is and to hold back from Him. To step into the presence of God in pure attitude of Love and thanksgiving, that is truely being set free.

The blood, which is life from God given unselfishly by His son Jesus is poured into you, it is the blood of Christ in you that makes you  want to give praise. *A Sacrifice of Praise, the Deep calling out to Deep!

At this point, you may be standing, sitting, dancing, shouting, weeping, laying prostrate on the ground, whatever it looks like for you no one but you can know this. Whatever it looks like for you, you will not care about others watching and wondering how crazy you are. This type of worship is something , if you ever taste it you will yearn to go there more like David.

Let Jesus Christ (the word of God) shower you with His Love and anoint you with revelation of the blood, and true freedom in the Spirit of God!

Blessings

God’s way has changed our outlook for confidence

During hard times and desert moments when we seem to have lost focus, we must return to His Word to find assurance and truth.

There are many who are in transition, in between doing good and then to wake up realizing man dumped on us again. Hey I’m just speaking first hand experience from the last few years as it comes into retrospect. As long as you are seeking His will, you will find and unlock the mysteries if you seek the truth of the Word of God. Trying to put pieces together is futile when reasoning with your mind only. May I suggest setting aside reasoning and rekindle thanksgiving in your life? Getting past the hardship thinking and offenses to the point of falling in Love with what first burned inside you. For those of you reading this, if you will agree with me. “I break all false affection from man that has broken your stride in the Lord. I break all chains of disapointment and bondage of saddness that has come to set on your joy. I break all the deception of Satan concerning your mindset of defeat.” Now Lord Jesus I ask you to spark a fire for wanting your presence more in the life of those that agreed for this in their life.

I challange you to do whatever it takes to put yourself in His path, prayer, fasting, get teaching from people that are in the midst of God. Don’t settle for anything less everyday! Everyday! Your lamp needs to be full for the upcoming days. You will be used, if you are ready.

Hebrews 7:20-28 (The Message)

20-22The old priesthood of Aaron perpetuated itself automatically, father to son, without explicit confirmation by God. But then God intervened and called this new, permanent priesthood into being with an added promise:
God gave his word;
he won’t take it back:

“You’re the permanent priest.”  This makes Jesus the guarantee of a far better way between us and God—one that really works! A new covenant.

23-25 Earlier there were a lot of priests, for they died and had to be replaced. But Jesus’ priesthood is permanent. He’s there from now to eternity to save everyone who comes to God through him, always on the job to speak up for them.

26-28 So now we have a high priest who perfectly fits our needs: completely holy, uncompromised by sin, with authority extending as high as God’s presence in heaven itself. Unlike the other high priests, he doesn’t have to offer sacrifices for his own sins every day before he can get around to us and our sins. He’s done it, once and for all: offered up himself as the sacrifice. The law appoints as high priests men who are never able to get the job done right. But this intervening command of God, which came later, appoints the Son, who is absolutely, eternally perfect.

What is your container full of?

First of all Lord, you are so good to me in time of need. All I have to do is look at you and you are there. When I need your compassion, I feel you drawing me near. When I want reassurance, you encourage me with your words. When I fail you for the day, you have mercy on my soul. Don’t leave me ever without your hand on me Lord.

What kind of container are you and what are you being filled with? You are a container and you are being filled, soon to overflow on someone else. What will they come in contact with? Will it be life giving blessings or selfish acts of rude hatred and darkness? Roots of rejection and bitterness can be broken and the chains of bondage can be severed forever. To start afresh, you must receive the Love of God through His Son Jesus and let the Holy Spirit pour into you new wine. The old wineskin cannot accept the new wine; your wineskin must become new to hold all the blessings.

2 Timothy 2:20-26 (The Message)

20-21In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets—some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage. Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing.

22-26Run away from infantile indulgence. Run after mature righteousness—faith, love, peace—joining those who are in honest and serious prayer before God. Refuse to get involved in inane discussions; they always end up in fights. God’s servant must not be argumentative, but a gentle listener and a teacher who keeps cool, working firmly but patiently with those who refuse to obey. You never know how or when God might sober them up with a change of heart and a turning to the truth, enabling them to escape the Devil’s trap, where they are caught and held captive, forced to run his errands.

Are you Allergic?

**You know that funky allergic reaction your skin gets when you have been bit by mosquitoes, or brushed up against some East Texas bull-nettle? Or maybe the day after walking through poison ivy? I don’t know about you, but my body usually reacts after the damage is done. Then it starts screaming to get relief. It attacks the foreign objects in a drastic way, and that is when our misery becomes first priority. There were not enough warning signs before the attack took place, some of them subtly and quietly were lurking in the shadows waiting for their culprit to pass by. They were not particular who it would be; anyone would do.

**Satan is such a miserable piece of crap, he wishes to bring anyone down with him. He knows where he is doomed to go and he wants as much company as possible. His character proceeds him, but sometimes we are consumed in our trek across this journey of ours, we don’t pay attention to who is trying to lead us (not into temptation). We get so self contained in our own stuff, we ease into the poison unknowingly. Why? Because our GPS (God Positioning System) has been switched off. I must give credit to Pastor Teo for the GPS thought, but I had to embellish. God does know the road ahead with our destination in mind. We have all the tools and guidance system available to us at our disposal if we would just choose to read the right map, or take time to listen before we leap.

**So far some of the journey has been smooth, and obviously some of the way has been more detours around rocky roads. Frustration to the point of depression will gladly set in, especially when you are on the losing end.

**Refuse to fall into these traps! You are not out there on the edge alone and abandoned. Jesus sees your desperation with one eye on you and the other on your destiny! One eye on you and one eye on your destiny! One eye on you and one eye on your destiny! Oh, my Lord, do you see me? Do you see where I am?

**If you can only accept a fragment of how much He loves you, Hope will rise up to give reprieve. Where there is Hope there is life. He is the giver of life to the oppressed! Victory is His name. Life is His gift to you & me when we thought there was none left. Look up and see Him. Reach toward that healing hand.

Woven into a tapestry of Love

**You need a word of exhortation, encouragement or reason to move on out with your faith?  If you have been a Christian for some time and have instilled the basics of the nature of God into your spirit. This passage below in Colossians has a purpose and that is to light a fire, a Holy Fire that needs to burn brighter and shine so as to not be hidden any longer. Letting your living spill over into thanksgiving is stepping out of the safety of your circle into the deep. The deep calling unto the deep, where no man can cross alone. Into the current of God where the Holy Spirit holds you up and brings healing to the stagnate waters. Like Peter stepping out from the boat, his focus was intent on Jesus’ face. When distraction of troubled waters around him broke his focus, that is when he started to sink. Bearing fruit 12 months of the year is where we are being called to. The Bride of Christ must awaken to her calling! Please ask God to reveal himself to you as you read and study this passage below. This letter is to you personally!

Colossians 2: 2 (The Message)
All the richest treasures of wisdom and knowledge are embedded in that mystery and nowhere else. And we’ve been shown the mystery! I’m telling you this because I don’t want anyone leading you off on some wild-goose chase, after other so-called mysteries, or “the Secret.”  From the Shadows to the Substance

(6-7) My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you’ve been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You’re deeply rooted in him. You’re well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.

(8-10) Watch out for people who try to dazzle you with big words and intellectual double-talk. They want to drag you off into endless arguments that never amount to anything. They spread their ideas through the empty traditions of human beings and the empty superstitions of spirit beings. But that’s not the way of Christ. Everything of God gets expressed in him, so you can see and hear him clearly. You don’t need a telescope, a microscope, or a horoscope to realize the fullness of Christ, and the emptiness of the universe without him. When you come to him, that fullness comes together for you, too. His power extends over everything.

(11-15) Entering into this fullness is not something you figure out or achieve. It’s not a matter of being circumcised or keeping a long list of laws. No, you’re already in—insiders—not through some secretive initiation rite but rather through what Christ has already gone through for you, destroying the power of sin. If it’s an initiation ritual you’re after, you’ve already been through it by submitting to baptism. Going under the water was a burial of your old life; coming up out of it was a resurrection, God raising you from the dead as he did Christ. When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive—right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ’s cross. He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets.

(16-17) So don’t put up with anyone pressuring you in details of diet, worship services, or holy days. All those things are mere shadows cast before what was to come; the substance is Christ.

(18-19) Don’t tolerate people who try to run your life, ordering you to bow and scrape, insisting that you join their obsession with angels and that you seek out visions. They’re a lot of hot air, that’s all they are. They’re completely out of touch with the source of life, Christ, who puts us together in one piece, whose very breath and blood flow through us. He is the Head and we are the body. We can grow up healthy in God only as he nourishes us.

(20-23) So, then, if with Christ you’ve put all that pretentious and infantile religion behind you, why do you let yourselves be bullied by it? “Don’t touch this! Don’t taste that! Don’t go near this!” Do you think things that are here today and gone tomorrow are worth that kind of attention? Such things sound impressive if said in a deep enough voice. They even give the illusion of being pious and humble and ascetic. But they’re just another way of showing off, making yourselves look important.

If you are a Child of the King, you get in on everything!

**If you are a Child of the King, you get in on everything!

Ephesians 2:11-13 (The Message)
11-13But don’t take any of this for granted. It was only yesterday that you outsiders to God’s ways had no idea of any of this, didn’t know the first thing about the way God works, hadn’t the faintest idea of Christ. You knew nothing of that rich history of God’s covenants and promises in Israel, hadn’t a clue about what God was doing in the world at large. Now because of Christ—dying that death, shedding that blood—you who were once out of it altogether are in on everything.

*Things we should expect when living in His Kingdom, as members of the commonwealth.*
To bring honor
To uphold His name
To have all our needs met
To be given purpose
To take on His character
To have access to His ear
To have access to His heart
To walk in confidence when doing
To be confident that He will empower you to carry out your purpose
To know the mystery of His will (Eph. 1:9)

Be willing to stand for something!

It is in today’s environment that it is truly inspiring to see people of note taking a stand for something worthy! People who are not willing to sell their moral convictions for a dollar. Tim Tebow is just one of those people. Read more…

Be willing to stand alone and to stand for something, former University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow told college students over the weekend.Former University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow speaks at Lipscomb University’s Don Meyer Evening of Excellence on Saturday, April 17, 2010.

Just days before the National Football League 2010 draft, Tebow was in Nashville inspiring students at Lipscomb University and confirming his plans to use his pro career as a platform for modeling his Christian faith.

“If you stand for something people might like you, or they might not like you, but at least you will stand for something,” Tebow said Saturday during the university’s Second Annual Don Meyer Evening of Excellence, according to Lipscomb. “Whatever you do, stand for something.”

The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner did just that earlier this year when he participated in a pro-life commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. The commercial, created by Focus on the Family, cost him some of his sponsors.

But losing sponsors was a small price to pay for being able to present his beliefs about family and faith to the public, he told a crowd of some 5,500 people this past weekend.

The commercial, featuring Tim and his mother, Pam Tebow, had drawn fire from pro-choice groups which tried to convince CBS to pull the ad. But once the light-hearted commercial aired, few saw it as controversial.

Tebow, a two-time National Champion, has been one of the most talked about and evaluated NFL prospects for the 2010 draft, which begins Thursday. Known for painting Bible references on his black under-eye markings, Tebow views his pro career as more than just playing football.

“There is a responsibility and an obligation for me to be a good role model and set an example for the next generation,” he said Saturday.

“The NFL is not the end for me,” he stressed. “It is a means to an end. It will give me a platform to hopefully make a difference.”

Passing on some more words of wisdom to students at the private Christian university, Tebow encouraged the young crowd to live each day with passion and to finish strong.

“Whatever I do I give my whole heart to it,” he said.

“I’ve never been someone who likes to do a lot of fluff, to do a lot of stuff that doesn’t really matter. I like to do stuff that I feel really matters like training for the sport I love, visiting kids in the hospital and going on the mission trips. I have put my heart into those things.”

Tebow’s parents, Bob and Pam, who are missionaries, were also featured at the Don Meyer event.
