Empty The Junk! Clean Your Vessel

We yearn and worship and cry out for more of His presence, saying all the while that we are tired of religion and old school churchy ways. God breezes through our midst and sometimes we don’t see Him coming or hear what He is trying to say to us. May it be that we are so consumer driven? We show up for the events and the mountain top moments of blessings, get lost in the moment then go down the road to the next big action going down?

This walking by Faith thing is serious and must take more commitment from us than ever explained to us. Or so it seems. Faith comes by hearing the Word (Jesus) of God, so it says. So hearing scripture, verbalizing scripture, believing scripture, reading scripture, singing scripture, painting scripture, meditating scripture. Every other creative way to get it in and hidden in your heart may be very important! So here we are, commited, fired up to a boiling point for the presence of God to become powerful witnesses. To the world, nations, our neighborhood streets while helping the homeless, widows, orphans, etc. We cry out for Justice and causes we stand and fight for.The things in this wicked world where turmoil and unrest are everywhere, tend to reveal our weakness. They become evident and accomplishments can go only so far by all efforts we can muster, but then we start to realize how powerless we are in our flesh. Even with the knowledge of the scriptures, it carries us by the hand only so far without the empowerment of God by the Holy Spirit.

The original disciples walked and talked face to face with Jesus and still did not get it. Jesus also told them to go to Jerusalem and wait until they were empowered.  The neighborhoods and the nations and to the ends of the earth were going to require the hand of God.

After crying out for His presence for so long, don’t be so shocked that He stands ready to do just that. We need the power of God just as much now as we did when we first came to Him for salvation. Empty the junk! Make room! Clean your vessel!

Repentance, yes that John the Baptist proclamation to the world, still does us wonders! Lay some junk at the foot of the cross and make room for the power of God to fill you to overflowing. Then your witness will become a mighty powerful act of God in the earth. Then what follows your steps will not be a wake of destruction and weakness, it will be a mighty, lifegiving sign of a changed life. True change in a persons life will reflect where the change comes from, may it be for God or the devil. So today, if you want a for- real impact in your day to day walk of faith, be real with Him!

Get hooked up with the Family of God and learn what the true Bride of Christ has got going on. Get committed!

ynet: Israel denounced Iran’s fueling up of its first nuclear power plant as “totally unacceptable” and called for more international pressure to force Tehran to cease any uranium enrichment.

Israel, widely assumed to be the only Middle East country to have nuclear weapons, has said a nuclear-armed Iran would be a threat to its existence, raising concerns Israel could attack Iran’s nuclear sites.

US & Israel Warships in Suez May Be Prelude to Faceoff with Iran

Egypt allowed at least one Israeli and 11 American warships to pass through the Suez Canal as an Iranian flotilla approaches Gaza. Egypt closed the canal to protect the ships with thousands of soldiers, according to the British-based Arabic language newspaper Al Quds al-Arabi.

International agreements require Egypt to keep the Suez open even for warships, but the armada, led by the USS Truman with 5,000 sailors and marines, was the largest in years. Egypt closed the canal to fishing and other boats as the armada moved through the strategic passageway that connects the Red and Mediterranean Seas.

Despite Egypt’s reported refusal to block the canal to Iranian boats, the clearance for the American-Israeli fleet may be a warning to Iran it may face military opposition if the Iranian Red Crescent ship continues on course to Gaza.

Saudi Arabia gives Israel clear skies to attack Iranian nuclear sites…

Timesonline Reports:  Saudi Arabia has conducted tests to stand down its air defenses to enable Israeli jets to make a bombing raid on Iran’s nuclear facilities, The Times can reveal.

To ensure the Israeli bombers pass freely, Riyadh has carried out tests to make certain its own jets are not scrambled and missile defence systems not activated. Once the Israelis are through, the kingdom’s air defences will return to full alert.

“The Saudis have given their permission for the Israelis to pass over and they will look the other way,” said a US defence source in the area. “They have already done tests to make sure their own jets aren’t scrambled and no one gets shot down. This has all been done with the agreement of the [US] State Department.”

Despite tensions between them, Israel and Saudi Arabia share a mutual hostility to Iran.

‘We all know this. We will let them [the Israelis] through and see nothing,’ the Times quoted a Saudi government source as saying.

According to the report, the four main targets for an Israeli raid on Iran would be uranium enrichment facilities at Natanz and Qom, a gas storage development at Isfahan and a heavy-water reactor at Arak.

Secondary targets may include a Russian-built light water reactor at Bushehr, which could produce weapons-grade plutonium when complete…”

Egypt to strip men married to Israelis of citizenship

A Cairo court yesterday upheld a ruling to strip Egyptian men married to Israeli women of their citizenship in a case that has highlighted national sentiment towards Israel.

Judge Mohamed al-Husseini, sitting on the Supreme Administrative Court, said the interior ministry must ask the cabinet to take the necessary steps to strip Egyptian men married to Israeli women, and their children, of their citizenship.
The court said that each case should be considered separately, in a ruling that cannot be appealed.

The ruling reflects Egyptian sentiment towards Israel, more than 30 years after Egypt signed an unpopular peace deal with the Jewish state.
Before reading the verdict, Husseini said the case would not apply to Egyptian men married to Arab Israeli women.

“The case for (Egyptian) men married to Israeli Arab women is different to those married to Israeli women of Jewish origin because (Israeli Arabs) have lived under Israeli occupation,” Husseini told the court.
“The court’s decision is taking into account Egypt’s national security,” the judge said.

“The decision comes as Israel continues its assault on those who love peace. The latest example is the aggression against the aid boat which was heading towards the blockaded Gaza Strip,” he added.

On Monday, Israeli naval commandos raided a humanitarian flotilla carrying aid to the blockaded Gaza Strip, in a bungled operation that left nine pro-Palestinian activists dead and scores injured.

Israel recoils as US backs nuclear move

The United States strong backing of a UN resolution for a nuclear-free Middle East that singles out Israel has both angered and deeply worried the Jewish state.

This United Nations resolution forces Israel to join the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), opening Israeli facilities for UN inspection.

Israel is believer to be the only Mid East nuclear power, and has maintained a policy of deliberate ambiguity about its capabilities since the mid-1960s.

The resolution singles out Israel but contains no mention of Iran’s nuclear program.

According to the top-selling Yediot Aharonot daily, the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was “furious with the Obama administration for having failed to prevent the resolution from passing… and for choosing to support it.”

“The American support for the resolution, after decades in which it supported Israel on this issue, came as a complete surprise,” the paper said.

“In the secret talks that Netanyahu held with Obama’s men… Israel was promised that the resolution would not focus on Israel and that if it did, the Americans would vote against.”

The left-leaning Haaretz daily said Israel had been “sacrificed by the US on the altar of a successful conference” in what constituted “a diplomatic victory for Egypt” which has campaigned against Israel’s nuclear arsenal.

Completion of a Model of the Biblical Altar

The Temple Institute in Jerusalem announced Friday the completion of a model of the Biblical Altar which God, through Moses, commanded the nation of Israel to build at the Mount of Eval (Ebal) overlooking Shechem:

“And there you shall build an altar unto Hashem your God, an altar of stones: you shall lift up no iron tool upon them. You shall build the altar of Hashem your God of unhewn stones.” (Deuteronomy 27:5,6).

(unhewn unfinished – not brought to the desired final state) – (of stone especially) not given a finished form by or as if by hewing; “a house of unhewn grey stone roughly cemented together”)

For many years, the Institute has been examining ways of building a model of the altar from whole stones that had not been touched by iron tools. In the end, the Institute commissioned artist Assaf Kidron of Givot Olam Farm at Itamar, Samaria, to design and create a model which conforms with the specifications described by authoritative Jewish sage Rambam (Maimonides) – one cubit wide, one cubit deep, and three cubits high.

It has been placed in the Institute’s visitor center.

The rocks were collected from the Dead Sea. The additional material for filling the cracks between the stones was collected with a gold-plated shovel, to prevent any contact with the iron.

“The act of building this model is a statement by the nation of Israel toward the Heavens, that we really want a Temple and are doing everything possible to be ready for it,” artist Kidron said after completing the work. “As an artist from a priestly family, the construction of the altar connected with the aspiration to connect matter with spirit, earth to heaven, and man to his God,” he explained.

The Institute’s management said that “the visitors are very moved by the model and the eyes do not remain dry.”

Haaretz reports: “Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas urged the Obama administration on Saturday to impose a solution to the Middle East conflict that would give his people an independent state.

‘Mr. President [Barack Obama] and members of the American administration, since you believe in this [an independent Palestinian state], it is your duty to take steps toward a solution and to impose this solution,’ Abbas said in a speech.

Abbas made the remarks to members of his Fatah party in the West Bank city of Ramallah a day after talks there with Obama’s Middle East envoy. George Mitchell is in the region to try to revive peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

‘We’ve asked them [the Obama administration] more than once: ‘Impose a solution,’‘ Abbas said.

Abbas also rejected the establishment of a Palestinian state within temporary borders, an idea he said was recently proposed for restarting peace talks.

In his speech, Abbas referred to recent proposals – apparently from Israel – for a temporary state but did not elaborate. Frankly, we will not accept the state with temporary borders, because it is being offered these days, he said…”

Jack Van Impe: “They’ll see the son of man, me, coming out of the clouds with power and great glory.  I’m coming to set up my kingdom.”  And, ladies and gentlemen, that’s right at the door.  Why?  Because the peace process is now beginning.  Now, it must be a seven year program or it’s not the one in the Bible.  And in Daniel 9:26, we see this global leader coming to power to make a seven-year peace contract.  In Daniel 9:26 and 27.  But it only lasts for 42 months.  It’s going to be broken.  So watch for what happens in the near future.  And the Bible calls it the “contract of death and hell”.  Isaiah 28:15. Why?  Because this world leader destroys many through this peace process.  Daniel 8:25.  How can he do that?  Because everyone’s saying it’s finally here, oh that which we’ve longed to see, peace, peace, it’s here!  But there’ll be no peace, Jeremiah 6:14 and Jeremiah 8:11.  For when they said peace and safety, then what?  “Sudden destruction cometh upon them” and that’s when Russia makes the move and we’ll talk about that just a little later.

But, how does this tie in with Christ’s return?  He’s the prince of peace, Isaiah 9:6, and when all has failed during the seven year period, he sets his foot upon the Mount of Olives in, uh, Zechariah 14 verse 4 and he sets up a peace for the ages to come.  And it says in Isaiah 2 verse 4 that when he comes, they’ll beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.  Come quickly, Lord Jesus.”

Temple Institute wants to Offer Biblical Passover Sacrifice

(IsraelNN.com) The Temple Mount Institute has filed suit in its fight for the right to sacrifice a
sheep on the Temple Mount prior to Passover, as commanded in the Torah.

“The command to perform a Paschal [Passover] sacrifice is a positive commandment; the
punishment for failing to perform it is ‘karet’ [lit. -- 'cut off', meaning that a person is cut off from the Nation of Israel], and it can be performed only on the day before Passover and only on the Temple Mount,” the organization explained in a petition to the Supreme Court. Fighting the group’s request are the Israel Police, who argue that the sacrifice would lead to Muslim riots and thus threaten public safety.

// ]]>Jews have the right to offer animal sacrifices on the Temple Mount under Israeli law, the organization claimed. Israelis are guaranteed the right to freedom of worship, and Israel prides itself in allowing members of all faiths to access their holy sites.

In previous years, the court has ruled that the right to freedom of worship is outweighed by the consideration of public safety, and has forbidden the Paschal sacrifice.

The Temple Mount Institute also took the opportunity to take police to task for barring Jews and Christians from the Temple Mount following Muslim riots. “The Israel Police is giving rioters a ‘prize’ and encouraging them to hold violent riots and disturb the peace, on the one hand, and is discriminating against Jews and members of other faiths and trampling their human rights – the right to freedom of movement and freedom of worship – on the other,” the organization accused.

The Institute asked the court to order police to explain why Jews are barred from the mount when Muslims riot.

This news story is interesting on several different counts.

1: As a Christian I hold very strong beliefs about interference with a person religious views. Although this reference is not directly to Christians, it is to God’s chosen.

2: The subject of Jewish subjugation at the temple mount is appalling. The exercise of their religion is being restricted to prevent an illegal & unjustified reaction from another religion.

3: Sacrifice at the temple mount has to be resumed before the second coming of Christ as stated in Daniel 9:27. Just another prophecy on the threshold of fruition?
