Are You Ready?

Jesus Christ Return

A thief does not come up to a house and knock on the door. Robbery is something that happens suddenly and at a time people do not expect it to occur. What about us in terms of Christ’s return? Should we not be ready? Do we not know the times and the seasons? Yes, we do. We have every reason to be able to be prepared should the “thief” arrive, that is, should Christ return.  ~John W. Ritenbaugh

1 Thessalonians 5:2

2for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.

We are close to the return of Jesus Christ; the world is filled with all kinds of signs of the end. They wear at us and worry us. We see them on television and hear them on the radio—everywhere we look, we see signs of the times. It is a stressful situation to be in, and still, Christ does not come. We say, “How long, Lord, will it be ’til You come?”

We can become neglectful. We can let our focus slip. We need to be exhorted and stirred.

Christ gives the first-century church a warning in Revelation 2:1-7, His message to the Ephesian church. He points out their problem. He gives them advice as to what they should do, and then at the end, He provides incentive for them to correct the situation that they had allowed themselves to deteriorate into.  ~John W. Ritenbaugh

Revelation 2:1-7

A Letter to the Church in Ephesus

1“To the messenger of the church in Ephesus, write:

The one who holds the seven stars in his right hand, the one who walks among the seven gold lamp stands, says: 2I know what you have done—how hard you have worked and how you have endured. I also know that you cannot tolerate wicked people. You have tested those who call themselves apostles but are not apostles. You have discovered that they are liars. 3You have endured, suffered trouble because of my name, and have not grown weary. 4However, I have this against you: The love you had at first is gone. 5Remember how far you have fallen. Return to me and change the way you think and act, and do what you did at first. I will come to you and take your lamp stand from its place if you don’t change. 6But you have this in your favor—you hate what the Nicolaitans are doing. I also hate what they’re doing.

7“Let the person who has ears listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. I will give the privilege of eating from the tree of life, which stands in the paradise of God, to everyone who wins the victory.

Lawmakers to Obama: Correct reference to US motto as ‘In God We Trust’…

Members of Congress on Monday called on President Obama to issue a public correction after he incorrectly labeled E pluribus unum the U.S.’s motto in a speech last month, rather than “In God We Trust.” The lawmakers, members of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, also said the president was making “a p…    Read Full Story

WE HAVE COME TO TAKE OUR GOVERNMENT BACK

“I HAVE A MESSAGE FROM THE TEA PARTY: WE HAVE COME TO TAKE OUR GOVERNMENT BACK”

Trey Grayson, Kentucky, Secretary of State, was backed by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and former Vice President Dick Cheney, was soundly defeated by Tea Party favorite Rand Paul. In Pennsylvania, five-term Sen. Arlen Specter, who ditched the Republican Party last year to save his career, ended up being sent into retirement anyway by Rep. Joe Sestak in the Democratic primary.

And in Arkansas, Sen. Blanche Lincoln was forced into a runoff against Lt. Gov. Bill Halter after she failed to win the majority of votes in the Democratic primary.

The results of Tuesday’s races sent a clear message to Washington that the anti-incumbent wave that has gripped the nation over the past year isn’t losing steam.

The latest primaries were closely watched for clues to how angry the electorate is about a weak economy, record-high deficits, two ongoing wars and a Washington environment that critics say favors rhetoric over results.

If recent elections highlight an undercurrent of voter anger, it remains to be seen how that anger will affect November’s midterm elections, when Republicans will challenge Democrats for control of both chambers in Congress.

Yet one thing seems certain — these are uncertain times for career politicians!  (READ MORE)

Israel recoils as US backs nuclear move

The United States strong backing of a UN resolution for a nuclear-free Middle East that singles out Israel has both angered and deeply worried the Jewish state.

This United Nations resolution forces Israel to join the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), opening Israeli facilities for UN inspection.

Israel is believer to be the only Mid East nuclear power, and has maintained a policy of deliberate ambiguity about its capabilities since the mid-1960s.

The resolution singles out Israel but contains no mention of Iran’s nuclear program.

According to the top-selling Yediot Aharonot daily, the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was “furious with the Obama administration for having failed to prevent the resolution from passing… and for choosing to support it.”

“The American support for the resolution, after decades in which it supported Israel on this issue, came as a complete surprise,” the paper said.

“In the secret talks that Netanyahu held with Obama’s men… Israel was promised that the resolution would not focus on Israel and that if it did, the Americans would vote against.”

The left-leaning Haaretz daily said Israel had been “sacrificed by the US on the altar of a successful conference” in what constituted “a diplomatic victory for Egypt” which has campaigned against Israel’s nuclear arsenal.

Obama on trial – May 14, 2010

When Barack Hussein Obama put his hat into the ring for the Democratic presidential spot, many people started to rise in anger. One of them was Doctor/Pastor James David Manning of New York City.

Pastor Manning had been gathering information about Obama that he found to be suspicious. He realized that the mainstream media wasn’t reporting on it, therefore, he began reporting on it himself. YouTube videos of Pastor Manning about an Obama presidency spread throughout the country. He told of some of the dubious information that involved the Jeremiah Wright church Obama attended.

Manning and his associates took many months of investigation and planning to set up a Constitutionally-legal trial. The trial will meet all federal and state judicial standards and practices. It will be held in a New York City Harlem Church just seven blocks from Columbia University. New York City has been petitioned to close off four blocks around the church to accommodate the expected 30-thousand to 70-thousand attendees.

The first supposedly black president goes on trial for CIA involvement for sedition and treason. The trial is set to begin May 14, 2010, and last about seven days. According to Manning the trial will not be cancelled nor postponed.

There will be large TV screens set in different areas around Columbia University and other areas for all there to witness. Members of the American Grand Jury will be present, along with a judge whose name is left secret until a time closer to the trial. Many attorneys will also be present and dozens of witnesses have already been subpoenaed or will be subpoenaed to be there.

Some of those who have been subpoenaed include the following:

  • Marcus Branchli

Former Editor of The Wall Street Journal

  • Condoleeza Rice

Former Secretary of State Secretary of State

  • Zbigniew Brzezinski

Center for Strategic and International Studies

  • George Stephanopoulos

Good Morning America

  • Rod Blagojevich

Former Illinois Governor

  • Phil Boerner

California Veterinary Medical Association

  • Michael Ira Sovern

Former Chancellor and Professor of Law and President Emeritus at Columbia University

  • Wayne Allyn Root

Root For America

  • Sohale Siddiqi
  • Douglas A. Chalmers
  • Andrew Nathan
  • James W. Morley
  • Richard Prous
  • Flora S. David

Professors of Political Science at Columbia University

More about the trial can be obtained at www.atlah.org which is home of the radio talk program The Manning Report. Also, to either participate as a witness or anonymous witness, one may phone 1-877-777-0734 or 212-427-2839.
